Fiji’s HFC Bank and Westpac are going into an interchange agreement effective 14th November 2014. With this agreement, HFC Bank customers will be able to withdraw from Westpac ATMs and make payments through its EFTPOS terminals. Westpac customers with a Handy card will be able to withdraw from HFC Bank ATMs throughout Fiji.
“The interchange agreement brings greater convenience to the Banks customers in terms of access to their funds 24/7 and ease of payment using the Westpac EFTPOS terminals strategically located Fiji wide” said HFC Bank CEO Mr. Isikeli Tikoduadua.
This project has been completed within a period of 3 months and he thanked his team, the team at Westpac and other business partners for the successful completion.
HFC Bank customer withdrawing on a Westpac ATM will pay a minimum fee of $1.50 per transaction and $0.60 for Balance Enquiry. A fee of $0.30 will be charged for payments through a Westpac EFTPOS while Balance Enquiry is Free.
For Westpac customers who wish to withdraw from HFC Bank’s ATM will be charged $1.00 per withdrawal and $0.60 for every Balance Enquiry.
Mr. Tikoduadua said this is another milestone of HFC Bank, within a span of 8 months commencing banking operations. HFC Bank is committed to bring a wide range of innovative products to its customers and making banking accessible.

ATMs allow customers to spend less time in the bank and increased privacy hence giving them the opportunity to access their cash from their bank account at a time and location convenient to them said Mr. Beckley.
