September 2, 2026Small Acts, Lasting Impact: HFC Bank Teams Unite to serve at the Gospel School for the Deaf Hostel
A few members of the HFC Bank family visited the Gospel School for the Deaf Hostel on Saturday, 13th June 2026, to spend time with the children and contribute towards improving their living environment. The volunteers comprised staff from Finance, Audit, Human Resources, the CEO’s Office, Asset Management Unit (AMU), and Retail Banking.
More than just a community service activity, the visit was an opportunity to connect with the students, share meaningful moments, and bring a little extra joy to their day. The team worked together to clean the hostel compound and plant vegetables, helping to create a more pleasant and sustainable environment for the children who call the hostel home.
The volunteers also spent quality time engaging with the students through fun-filled activities, including a scavenger hunt, cup-stacking games, and even enjoying the seesaw, tyre swings, and slide alongside the children. The laughter, smiles, and enthusiasm shared throughout the day served as a reminder of the importance of inclusion, compassion, and human connection.
Following the activities, the team shared a special lunch that they had prepared for the students. Adding to the spirit of giving, the volunteers generously donated stationery, toys, and gifts for the 30 students residing at the hostel. These were presented as rewards for participating in the games, bringing excitement and happiness to the children while making each of them feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
