HFC Bank and FNPF Bring Essential Services Closer to Communities in Natewa Bay

Last week, HFC Bank’s Community Banking team partnered with FNPF to deliver a consolidated outreach initiative in Natewa Bay, Cakaudrove, alongside the Cakaudrove Provincial Meeting held in Korotasere, the chiefly village of the Tikina of Vaturova. Over the course of three days, the team provided banking services to the villages of Vanuavou, Korotasere, Nabua, Wailevu, and Navidi, successfully opening 20 new accounts and helping more community members gain access to formal banking services.

A key highlight of the outreach was the opportunity to engage directly with villagers through informal talanoa sessions. These meaningful conversations enabled the team to better understand the financial needs and aspirations of the communities while raising awareness of HFC Bank’s products and services. The team also responded to a wide range of enquiries relating to account management, digital banking, savings, loans, and financial planning. The partnership with FNPF facilitated a more coordinated and convenient service delivery approach, allowing community members to access essential services closer to home and reducing the need for travel.
