Our local stock market last week was busy with a total of six securities traded.
Three companies recorded increases in its share price. Free Bird Institute increased by 5 cents closing the week at $2.40. The Rice Company of Fiji Ltd shares also rose by 5 cents to close at $3.80 and Fijian Holdings Ltd rose by 5 cents as well to conclude the week at $4.25.
A total of 11,181 shares were traded with 17 transactions totalling $35,833 in value.
On the back of positive share price gains recorded by listed shares, the overall market value rose by 0.07% and concluded the week at a maximum value of $1.355 billion.
The SPSE Total Return Index gained 0.08 percent due to the capital gains recorded as well as a dividend return of 2 percent generated by Pacific Green Industries shares and ended the week at a value of 3276.99.
