Looking at our economic calendar this week.
Overnight, the Australian Government will be releasing their Annual Budget Report.
On Wednesday, China will be releasing their inflation rate for the month of April. It is expected to increase to 1.1% from 0.9.
The New Zealand dollar is holding up well ahead of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s monetary policy statement on Thursday. It is expected that Governor Graeme Wheeler will keep the official cash rate at 1.75% and potentially signal that rate hikes may come earlier than 2019.
The Bank of England will also set their interest rate and it is expected to remain at 0.25%.
On Friday, the U.S will release their inflation rate for the month of April. It was last reported at 2.4%.
