As HFC marks the 50th Anniversary with its incorporation on 30th June 1962, the Chairman, Mr Tom Ricketts and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Isikeli Tikoduadua handed over the upgraded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of CWM Hospital to Minister for Health, Dr. Neil Sharma, today and 6th July 2012. “Over the weeks we have been involved in lot of social and community activities around the country and this is the major one” said the Chairman Tom Ricketts. In fact CWM hospital upgrade has been on the agenda of the company since 2008 and today we see it concluding he added.
“We know that ICU plays very essential role for life of patient and therefore, we at HFC felt that our money should be used for such purpose, said Tom Ricketts.
The upgrade has been completed at cost of around $50,000. It was a six week project covering five rooms, was undertaken by a reputable contractor engaged by HFC that went through tender process of the company. The project included installation of new air conditioning units, new windows and fly-screen, construction of new storage facilities, installation of new kitchenette, provision of new lockers for staff, general maintenance and painting of ward.
“This project is part of our corporate responsibility as we value the people among whom we exist and to support the government with concept of public private partnership” said Isikeli Tikoduadua, Chief Executive Officer.
