HFC Bank Pledges $50,000 to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Appeal

The Board of Directors and Management of HFC Bank have pledged a cash sum of $50,000 to Prime Minister’s TC Winston Appeal. The cheque was presented to the Honorable Prime Minister Rear Admiral J.V.Bainimarama by HFC Bank’s Chairman Mr. Tom Ricketts and CEO Mr. Isikeli Tikoduadua today (21.03.16)

The HFC Bank family convey heartfelt sympathies to all Fijians who have been affected, lost loved ones, properties and belongings due to Tropical Cyclone Winston” said HFC Bank’s Chairman – Mr. Ricketts.

In addition to the pledge of $50,000 cash, the Staff Social Club of the bank along with the Management and the Board of Directors raised close to $5,000 through an internal fundraising drive. The money raised was used to purchase immediate relief items. The staff and Management with the guidance of NDMO reached families with relief items in the interior of Viti Levu near Wailoa Station in Monasavu , interior of Rewa and in the Western Division.

“We as the local bank have our obligations and corporate responsibility to our nation. We have joined hands to help rebuild lives and homes of our people and nation. We thank the NDMO team who have been out there untiringly, assisting in the affected areas. With the guidance of NDMO, our staff were able to go an extra mile to reach the villages in the interior areas to assist”, said Mr. Tikoduadua. Despite the situation, it was heartwarming to see the high spirit of the people added Mr. Tikoduadua.

The staff of HFC Bank have also contributed boxes of clothes, blankets, shoes and other essential items that will be given to FENC Fiji for distribution.

This March, the bank marks its second anniversary as a fully – fledged commercial bank. Chairman Mr. Ricketts said “There was no better way to thank our nation than by giving it back to the people in this time of need.

Whilst visiting customers in disaster stricken areas, Mr. Tikoduadua has urged clients to visit the nearest branch or contact the account managers for the assistance. He also stated that processes for cyclone affected customers have been streamlined for quicker turnaround service.

The bank has reactivated the rehabilitation package to assist the existing and potential customers. These products feature interest rates as low as 4.5%, Fixed for 5 years. Affected customers can apply for Personal Secured and Unsecured Loans at this rate under the Rehab Package. Businesses that have been affected may also apply for funding assistance under the Disaster Rehabilitation Product and the Package also covers Cane Farm Loans. The Fees are also discounted on Rehab products.

Fiji is blessed with pristine locations for film shoots and Film Fiji has done exceptionally well in marketing Fiji to Hollywood, Bollywood and Asian movie makers. In the near future, we would like to see Fiji being a source for talents as well as into productions.

HFC Bank Donates Laser Printer to Lomainasau Village library on World Literacy Day

In honoring its Vision; to provide wealth to our future generation, HFC Bank responded to a sponsorship request from the Naseuvou Working Group of Lomainasau Village from Tailevu. The bank sponsored a Laser Jet Pro 200 Color Printer for their newly opened Village Library. This was an initiative of the Working Group with a mission to engage their children in activities after school to enhance potential, talents, gifting and capacities to help minimize social ills.

Deputy Secretary – Professional of the Ministry of Education who opened the new library acknowledged the gift and thanked Fiji’s very own Bank for their contribution in helping raise the children’s literacy level in Lomainasau Village. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Isikeli Tikoduadua said he was glad to donate the printer to the school in HFC Banks aim to give back to the community and most importantly to assist the school provide the learning and growth for our children. Children are our future generation.


HFC supports Hilton Hostel

On February 10th 2014, Home Finance Company made a donation to the Hilton Hostel, an arm of the Hilton Organisation – Fiji Crippled Children Society in Suva.

The Hilton Hostel is home to 11 children and young adults who require special attention and care. A task requiring constant attention and care from the matrons who manage the hostel. As of late, this service has been hindered with the malfunction of facilities; stove and washing machine; essential to everyday operations.

As part of our corporate social responsibility, Chief Executive Officer, Isikeli Tikoduadua presented a brand new gas stove and washing machine to the organization.

HFC will continue to show its commitment and support towards it’s people and it’s community.



Old People’s home Samabula

Old People’s home Samabula (8/6/2012) – HFC staff visited and donated essential items that the Home was lacking as these items were hardly donated.Home of Hope (30/6/2012) – HFC Staff helped plant fruit trees which they donated to the residents of the Home.


Ba School for Special Education (28th June, 2012) – The HFC West team visited the School with donations of stationary, books and other items for the educational development of the students.
